Syringe drivers are commonly used in managing symptoms at the end of life.  Healthcare professionals therefore need training in effective and appropriate management of syringe drivers (End of Life Care Strategy 2008)

This one day course will consider:

• the different syringe drivers in use
• the rationale behind their use
• common medications and their compatibility
• how to set up a Graseby syringe driver safely
• troubleshooting’ if difficulties arise

This course will be relevant to registered nurses and medical staff who manage syringe drivers 

The workshop will run on 16th April, 20th September 2010, and 8th February 2011 from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

The cost will be £75-00 ~ includes handouts, refreshments and lunch
