Non-clinical staff experience challenging communication situations when dealing with people with life-limiting conditions and those close to them.  It has been shown that interpersonal skills training can enable staff to meet these challenges effectively (Wilkinson 2008).

This day will consider:

• how to establish and work within appropriate boundaries
• how to manage difficult situations and emotions
• working with people experiencing loss

This course is suitable for  non-clinical staff who are in regular contact with patients and those close to them

This course will take place on 12th April, 8th October 2010, or 14th March 2011 and run from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

The cost including handouts, refreshments and lunch is £75.
