Approximately 90% of complaints in the NHS arise out of poor communication between healthcare professionals and patients or their families.  The End of Life Care Strategy (2008) calls for healthcare professionals to have the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively.

This workshop will help you to:

• establish your strengths as a communicator
• explore the principles of effective communication
• identify barriers to listening
• practice different techniques to enhance communication
