Mary Mahoney Head of EducationMary Mahoney, RGN, RNT, MA.

A highly qualified and experienced professional educator and manager, who has been Head of Education at St Catherine’s Hospice since February 2005.

Mary’s background is in Cancer, Palliative Care and Neurosciences, in education as well as extensive development work with Clinical Nurse Specialists across the UK in various posts.

John Lansdell Lecture practitionerJohn Lansdell, RGN, BSc (Hons), PGCHSE

John’s background is in cancer and palliative care.   In 2004 he took on the role of lecturer practitioner. John plays an active part in the planning and delivery of education within the Hospice and wider health care community, and is involved with university programmes at graduate and postgraduate level.  Professional interests include facilitating communication skills training at all levels, teaching ethics in end of life care and delivering sessions related to palliation in non cancer care.
