Mary is a highly qualified and experienced professional educator and manager, who has been Head of Education at St Catherine’s Hospice since February 2005.
Mary’s background is in Cancer, Palliative Care and Neurosciences, in education as well as extensive development work with Clinical Nurse Specialists across the UK in various posts.
John Lansdell, RGN, BSc (Hons),

Lecturer Practitioner
John’s background is in cancer and palliative care. In 2004 he took on the role of lecturer practitioner.
John plays an active part in the planning and delivery of education within the Hospice and wider health
care community. Professional interests include facilitating communication skills training at all levels, and psychosocial care.
Laura Myers RGN, BA
Trainee Lecturer
Laura has been in post since December 2008 and is looking forward to developing her role within the the education department. She is currently studying for a teaching qualification at the University of Surrey.
Laura has worked in clinical and practice development roles for many years in a hospice setting. She is particularly interested in the holistic nature of palliative care and multi-disciplinary involvement in the patient's experience.
