These two courses can be taken as two half days or as one whole day.

Bereavement - Principles

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this session the participants will be able to:

describe the way loss and Loss and Grief can affect people
identify people who might be at risk of a difficult Bereavement
discuss ways to support the bereaved
appreciate the need to maintain professional boundaries when working with the bereaved

Bereavement - Practice

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this session participants should be able to:

Discuss the nature of loss
Recognise the manifestations of grief
Demonstrate techniques to support those experiencing a loss
