Syringe Driver Workshop on 1st March 2010

This one day course will consider:

  • the different syringe drivers in use
  • the rationale behind their use
  • common medications and their compatibility
  • how to set up a syringe driver safely
  • ‘troubleshooting’ if difficulties arise

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This course will be relevant to Registered Nurses and Medical Staff who manage syringe drivers 


The day runs from  9.30am to 4.30pm at St Catherine’s Education Centre at a cost of £70.00.

  • how to define & refine search terms & strategy
  • how to ascertain & download the most appropriate information
  • demonstrating searching the NLH & other databases
  • different report formats & when they are necessary
  • exploring practical tools & tips to influence your reader
  • discussing how to approach the writing & publishing process

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All health & social care workers who continually aim to improve their practice.
The day runs from  9.30am to 4.30pm at St Catherine’s Education Centre at a cost of £70.00.

Professional boundaries in psychosocial care
on 5th March 2010

  • explaining proximity in relation to setting professional boundaries
