Christmas with St Catherine’s

Celebrating in style

‘Tis the season to spread warmth and cheer, and what better way to do so than by supporting your local hospice this Christmas?

Whether you’re a long term supporter, a corporate team, or someone simply looking to make a difference, there are plenty of ways you can get involved this festive season. So, put on your Santa hat, grab a cup of hot cocoa, and dive into the wonderful world of Christmas fundraising activities. From Christmas choirs and collections, to wrapping and Reindeer Runs, we’ve got a sleigh-full of events for you to enjoy and take part in, all whilst raising vital funds for our hospice.

We’ll also be hosting two Tree of Light services, bringing our community together to remember and celebrate the loved ones we’ve lost at a time when their absence may feel greater than ever.

‘Tis the season to make a difference. Together, we can work towards a world where everyone can face death informed, supported and pain free.

Tree of Light

Traditionally, Christmas is a time for us to celebrate with family and friends, but we know that for those who are bereaved, it’s a time when we miss our loved ones even more.

Join us for one of our Tree of Light remembrance services for music, a moment of silence, words of encouragement and a speaker who will share their story with you. You can dedicate a star in honour of your loved one, and there will also be options to donate for those who want.

Sign up for a Reindeer Run

We’re asking schools to support their local hospice by ho-ho hosting a festive fundraiser. Choose the date, distance, location, and then get moving – whether it’s a brisk walk around the playground, or a gentle jog on the school field.

There’s no cost to the school, and every child gets a FREE pair of reindeer antlers. Just raise as much as you can and have lots of festive fun!

Christmas party dates are set, Secret Santa speculations are flying around the office, and loved ones are sharing their wish lists. Why not make your Christmas shopping more meaningful this year and spend in the knowledge that you will be helping local families when they need it most.

Can’t face walking around the shops? Don’t worry, you can still support us, all from the comfort of your own sofa. Curl up with a blanket and have a browse on our online shops – eBay and depop – to find that something special.

Christmas Cards

Our Christmas cards are also a great way to support our hospice. From robins and reindeer, to village snow scenes, we have 13 stunning designs to choose from.

Karen, a loyal buyer of our cards, shares why she keeps coming back each year:

“I buy my Christmas cards from St Catherine’s because they help spread joy and cheer during the season of goodwill, they are great designs and all for an amazing cause.”

You can purchase your cards in your local St Catherine’s charity shop or on our website
