We have produced downloadable supplementary patient
information leaflets (PILs) for drugs commonly used in palliative care outside their licensed use. These are designed to be issued with all dispensed medication prescribed for the unlicensed indication, in addition to the licensed PIL (the issue of the licensed PIL with all medicines dispensed to patients is a legal requirement).   

These leaflets describe the purpose and uses of the drug within palliative care and answer some frequently asked questions.
