Our multi professional team provides a holistic and personalised approach to the care of our patients and their families and carers.
Community Care Nurses
As part of our Community Care team we have a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) who provide specialist advice in addition to the care being provided by GPs, district nurses and other healthcare professionals. This allows people to be cared for in their own homes if this is what they wish.
Our Community Care Nurses provide practical, hands-on care for patients in their own homes.
Consultants
There are two consultants in Palliative Medicine at St Catherine’s who are responsible for leading the medical care of in-patients and they offer specialist advice to the community nurses and other professionals.
Doctors
The team includes Specialty Doctors, a local GP and other qualified doctors who spend time at St Catherine’s to gain experience in palliative medicine.
Nursing Staff
St Catherine’s has a large team of experienced palliative nurses and nursing assistants who bring their wealth of experience to caring for people when they are in-patients or attending day hospice.

Spiritual Care Team
