Our fourth annual Business Supporters Breakfast in March 2011 was a great success. Over 65 people from local businesses joined for some light networking and a free breakfast, followed by a few presentations from keynote speakers.
This year, we were pleased to have guest speakers from Baker Tilly and Rawlison Butler, along with a service update from one of our Occupational Therapists and our Chief Executive.
We have received very positive feedback after each event, prompting interest in corporate sponsorship for the Dragon Boat Festival and some business activity between delegates as a result of the networking.
“Thanks very much for a very inspirational and thought provoking morning and I must say that this has really helped me with my focus on our fundraising for you.” Pauline Graham, Customer Services Development & Servicing Manager, Just Retirement.
“Thank you for inviting me to this morning’s business breakfast. Apart from being interesting it was also very insightful too. I had no idea of the scope of services that St Catherine’s Hospice provides to the community. The visit has made me all the more determined to support St Catherine’s and carry on with our fund raising efforts here.” Stella Clarke, Office manager, Halcrow Group Ltd.
“Jane and I wanted to send our thanks to you for a very informative and educational morning. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the St Catherine's Hospice supporters and to find out how different businesses are raising the well needed funds. The tour around the hospice was very useful and really bought it home to us how invaluable St Catherine's is”. Claire Gregory, Performance Executive, British Airways.
