We like to think that being in the St Catherine’s Brighton Marathon team is more than about just taking part. It is great fun and raises a considerable amount of money towards providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers.
Runners with their own place in the Brighton Marathon
If you have your own place in the 2011 Brighton Marathon we would love to hear from you – come and join the St Catherine’s Team and benefit from dedicated support from the Hospice including sponsorship forms and a running vest. You can also come along to our training meetings and training runs where you will learn about injury prevention, on the day expectations and hear lots of training advice from a marathon pro!
Looking to take one of our charity places?
We do have a limited number of guaranteed places for the Brighton Marathon and if you would like one of these places you will be asked to reach a minimum sponsorship target of £750, which will allow us to continue to provide our specialised care in the local community.
All of our runners who take part in the Brighton Marathon and raise funds for St Catherine’s receive:
• Dedicated support from our fundraising team
• Training guide including hints on setting running goals, stretching, running logs and much more
• Fundraising pack full of sponsorship forms and useful hints and tips
• St Catherine’s running vest
• Training meetings with a marathon pro
• Scheduled training runs
• Post-marathon thank you party for you and your supporters
