Around 300 people enjoyed the Sunday morning cycle through the Sussex countryside in a bid to raise £20,000 to help provide care and compassion to those with an incurable illness. The 10th Sussex Weald Bike Ride offered those taking part the option of four different routes: 10 miles, 20 miles, 40 miles and a new 60 mile route.
We’d like to thank our sponsors Gatwick Airport; Handcross Park School for kindly donating the use of their beautiful grounds; Local cycling group Crawley Wheelers, South Sussex RAYNET and St John's Ambulance for making sure all our riders were safe and having fun; Sainsbury's West Green for donating 400 bananas; and all our participants and volunteers who helped from registering the riders, marshalling the courses to handing out medals.
