The Appeal was launched in late 1989 by BBC news reader Martyn Lewis and BBC presenter Cliff Michelmore to:

• establish a Day Care Centre
• provide education and training facilities for healthcare professionals
• establish a Foundation Fund to provide a solid and secure financial base for the hospice

The goal today is to raise as much money as possible for the hospice.  Supporting St Catherine’s can help to fund various aspects of our work, such as the running of our Day Services department, community nursing team and in-patient care, the costs of the ambulance traveller, providing the syringe drivers that administer medication more easily, paying for a course of counselling sessions or occupational therapy.

	October 2012 - Thursday 25th - The Lunch Club, House of Commons Lunch
