Our shops are critical to the delivery of hospice care, generating approximately 20 per cent of the charity’s income each year. With a great selection of high quality items to suit all budgets, shopping with us is a great way to show your support.
Donate
We accept clothes, wedding dresses, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, CDs, records, toys and furniture. Collection of donated goods can be arranged – simply call us on 01293 447361. We are sorry but we are unable to accept electrical items, video, cassettes, wardrobes, wall units, sideboards and beds. We can only accept items of furniture in good condition.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in our recent jewellery donation campaign, which was launched in partnership with BBC Surrey radio. Since last summer we have been collecting donations of unwanted jewellery which can then be recycled. It could be one earring, or a broken necklace, a brooch, rings or costume jewellery, which is used in a variety of ways.
eBay
Anyone selling their items on eBay can list an eBay for Charity item and now donate a percentage to St Catherine's. Items can be listed as normal (using 'Advanced Sell'), choose St Catherine's and the % you would like to donate. When the item sells and payment is received from the buyer (and a matching % fee credit from eBay) your donation percentage will then be paid to St Catherine's. If you ticked the Gift Aid box, for every pound we receive, St Catherine's will receive an extra 25p from your donation. The eBay donations are processed by MissionFish which makes a small deduction from each donation to offset some of the costs involved.
Shop
Pop into your local shop and find out what bargains are on offer. We have 14 shops, all within our patient referral area.
Collect
Can you help distribute our blue collection bags? Smaller than other charity bags simply ask your friends, relatives or work colleagues to fill with their unwanted quality saleable items. To order your hospice blue collection bags call us on 01293 447361.
