St Catherine’s Hospice is committed to Equal Opportunities for all employees and volunteers. To help us monitor this, we would appreciate if you could complete the equality monitoring form and return it to us by post.
It is St Catherine’s policy that all jobs and volunteer opportunities are offered subject to receipt of three satisfactory references, occupational health clearance and a three month probation period.
In addition, because of the nature of our work at St Catherine’s, for roles which involve contact with vulnerable adults or children, the post is except from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. The vacancy notification will indicate if this is the case.
We have a number of policies that meet and exceed the statutory requirements.
The organisation provides a free occupational health check and a staff counselling service via an external provider.
Health and Safety is an important aspect of all St Catherine’s operations and regular risk assessments and audits are carried out.
