Working as part of a team the role includes helping with the washing up, taking the tea trolley around the wards and any other duties requested by the catering manager.

Shops - Sales Assistants
Volunteers required for our charity shops. Previous experience is not necessary as full training is provided - would suit someone with a cheerful disposition, who is fairly active and enjoys working within a team. Various shifts/days available. The shops are open 6 days a week with the exception of the Tilgate Park shop which is open limited days during term time but open 7 days a week during the summer holidays. Day Hospice & Outpatients
Complementary Therapists - Qualified Reiki Practitioners and Massage Therapists required to see our out-patients and in-patients on the wards. Recognised qualifications are essential. If you are interested please apply here
Drivers - We require volunteers for Day Hospice using their own vehicles - (Monday, Wednesday or Thursday) 9.30am to bring patients in for 10am and then again to take patients home at 3.15pm. You may also be asked to take patients for hospital appointments Mon - Fri or to take deliveries to Crawley Hospital. Mileage expenses paid. Requirements - Clean driving licence, insurance, MOT and completion of a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) form. If you are interested please apply here
In-Patient Unit
We require volunteer sitters to provide a service to 'at risk' patients on the wards. The role will involve assisting with diversional therapies on a one to one with patients, sitting with confused or potentially distressed patients who are at risk of falls, and giving fluids / food under supervision. Pastoral Care
Volunteers required to help provide spiritual and pastoral care to patients and those close to them. They will assist the Spiritual Care Coordinator in helping patients and their families / friends to explore any spiritual isues they may have and, if appropriate, praying with them. A new round of training is scheduled to start in October and interviews will be held for this in August/September. If you are interested please apply here
Bereavement Support Visitor Training
Are you interested in training as a bereavement support visitor? Training dates are September - November (Thursdays) 10 week course to be held in Crawley and Caterham. Initial interviews will take place in July followed by post course interviews in December. Library
