We have a range of opportunities which require volunteers to have professional qualifications.
Complementary Therapists
To aid relaxation and reduce stress, St Catherine’s offers complementary therapy treatments to patients, family members, carers and bereaved relatives. We are always looking for fully qualified massage therapists, aromatherapists, reflexologists and reiki masters to join our volunteer team.
Being seriously ill can lead to unwelcome changes that can lead to low self esteem and shatter self confidence. Theraputic treatments help make a tremendous difference to how our patients feel about themselves. We would also welcome qualified chiropodists and manicurists to the team.

Pastoral Care Volunteers
Pastoral Care Volunteers assist the Spiritual Care Coordinator, in helping patients, their families and friends, to explore any spiritual issues they may have and if appropriate, praying with them.
Volunteers need to be secure in their beliefs and able to offer spiritual care in a hospice environment to people of any faith and none.
Training and regular feedback sessions will be provided.
