Why is Tree of Light so special?
Losing someone we love is one of the hardest things we have to face, especially at Christmas. At this difficult time many people find comfort in attending our Tree of Light service. This is an annual event that provides a sensitive and meaningful way for friends and family to gather, remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who won’t be with us this Christmas. Many people find sponsoring a light and having someone special honoured in our Book of Remembrance a positive way to remember a loved one while supporting our hospice care.
Our main Tree of Light service is held at K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley on Sunday 14 December at 4pm. We also have a number of smaller services held around our catchment area and we would be delighted to welcome you and your family to any of them. You can choose to attend an event or simply make a donation. Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether the loss is recent, some time ago, or if the person being remembered was cared for by St Catherine’s Hospice or elsewhere.
The Tree of Light shines out as a memorial to thousands of people who are dearly loved and missed, and provides a chance for you to focus on your own treasured memories.
