St Catherine's special remembrance service
At St Catherine's Hospice, we understand that the loss of someone special can be the hardest and loneliest of experiences.
Our Tree of light remembrance service offers a moment to reflect and remember friends and family who are no longer with us and many people find attending our service of great comfort.
If you attend our service or make a donation you will be sent a special star to write a message on in memory of someone dear to you.
During the service, which includes carols and readings, we illuminate our Tree, so that each star shines brightly as a symbol of a life cherished and remembered. Together our trees act as a shining memorial to thousands of people who are dearly loved and missed and is a chance for you to pause and reflect on your own treasured memories.
The name of your loved one will also be entered into our Book of Remembrance alongside the names and memories of others, and will be available to view at the service and at the hospice throughout December.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether your loss was recent, some time ago, or if the person being remembered was cared for by St Catherine’s or elsewhere.
