St Catherine’s is more than just a building – it's a philosophy of care. We believe that alongside expert medical and nursing care, a person’s practical, emotional, social and spiritual concerns should be cared for as well.

Patients and their families are at the centre of everything we do, we listen and acknowledge their fears, worries and concerns and respond to the issues that are causing them anxiety.
This highly personal, holistic approach to a person’s care takes time, skill and experience, plus a highly inter-disciplinary approach to resolving problems.
We care for people both in the hospice building and in their own homes, in fact over 70 per cent of our patients are cared for at home. We also have a Day Hospice which many people benefit from attending.
