We facilitate self-help groups to help you manage your condition and gain support from others in similar circumstances.
If you are interested in our support groups please talk with your hospice contact as they will be happy to discuss the group with you and refer as appropriate following discussion.
Lymphoedema
The lymphoedema support group is based at the hospice and run by patients attending the clinic with the support of the lymphoedema nurse practitioners. The group currently meets quarterly at the hospice for supper and an informal get together.
Bereavement
A “drop in” group meets regularly between 1pm -3pm every Thursday afternoon at Christchurch United Reform Church in Worth Park Avenue, by the junction of Worth Rd, Pound Hill, Crawley. You can choose to come along to either on a one off basis, from time to time or join us regularly to meet with others who have been bereaved and share experiences while enjoying some light refreshments. Going out to new places following bereavement can be very difficult so you may prefer to bring along a friend. The church is served by the following bus routes 4, 5, 20, 82, 84, 100, 281, 291 and Three Bridges Station is close by. There is car parking available.
