Tis’ the season to sing for St Catherine’s

‘Tis the season to be jolly fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la! And St Catherine’s Hospice is calling on local choirs to help spread Christmas cheer by singing carols to County Mall shoppers this December.

The local hospice is looking for choirs to perform traditional and modern Christmas songs at County Mall from Wednesday 13 December right through until Christmas Eve (Sunday 24 December) to help raise funds for St Catherine’s.

There are various performance slots during the day, and into the evenings for late night shoppers, so no matter when the community shop, they can enjoy some festive entertainment.

Singers can perform for one or two hours, with space for up to 25 singers each time, and St Catherine’s will provide everyone who volunteers their vocals with a full PA system so choirs only need to worry about bringing their own backing accompaniment and themselves (festive attire is encouraged but optional!)

Choirs will sing alongside St Catherine’s gift wrapping station outside Primark on the bottom floor of County Mall, so if you’re Christmas shopping between the 13th and 24th of December, don’t forget to take time out to listen to some Christmas tunes, and support your local hospice by making a donation to help them be there to care for local terminally ill people and their family and friends when it’s needed most.

If you are part of a choir, or you know someone who is, and would like to help spread some Christmas cheer for St Catherine’s, please email comfun@stch.org.uk or call St Catherine’s fundraising team on 01293 447361.
