“Training to be a nurse, you only ever want one thing: to care for people when they need you most.”
Jackie, one of our community nurses, shares her story:
“I may be biased, but that feels even more important when you work in end of life care. You want to make sure every family facing death and loss has all of the support they need to cope during that most difficult time.
But, most days, I feel I’m letting people down.
It breaks my heart. I’m doing the best I can – everyone at St Catherine’s Hospice is – but we just don’t have the funds to give local people as much support as we know they really need.
Will you donate today to help us be there for more local families this Christmas?
As the last Christmas a family spends together is so important – because it will stay with them forever in their memories. Please help us make sure that everyone having their last Christmas this year has the best possible Christmas, that will leave memories their family will find comfort in for many Christmases to come.
No one should spend their last Christmas facing death and loss without the support they need.
