Make a difference this festive season
The season of giving is upon us, and there are lots of ways you can support St Catherine’s Hospice during the festive period. From donating towards our Christmas Appeal to buy Christmas dinners for our patients, to purchasing Christmas cards from our shops or attending our Tree of Light service, your generosity is hugely appreciated.
We rely on the support and kindness of our community all year round, and especially at Christmas. With your help, we will be able to be there for more people in your local community, when life comes full circle.
Frank’s wife told us: “Frank absolutely loved Christmas at St Catherine’s Hospice. He said the dinner was smashing! He’d always loved this time of year and it meant so much. It was just perfect.“
When you’re really poorly, like Frank was, homemade food can be a huge comfort and at Christmas, it’s even more important. During his time with us at the hospice over the festive season, Frank was still able to celebrate in style, with a delicious turkey dinner and all the trimmings…including his favourite roast potatoes.
This was only possible thanks to the generosity of our incredible community; people like you who support us every day and mean we can be there when life comes full circle.
By donating just £10 today, you will know you’ve given someone the Christmas dinner they deserve. It will mean more people, like Frank, can enjoy a festive dinner this Christmas time.
When Rita’s husband Ken was referred to St Catherine’s Hospice over the festive period, they weren’t sure what to expect. But they were surprised by what they experienced. Rita and Ken were able to spend precious time together and make treasured memories, even spending Christmas Day together at St Catherine’s Hospice watching festive films and eating a traditional Christmas dinner.
Watch this short video for more about their experience at the hospice over Christmas.
