Volunteer Tour and Concrete Floors
This week, Jamie Hattam, our New Build Project Administrator shares an update on the progress of our new hospice build.
“Last Wednesday Paul (who you usually hear from) and I welcomed three of our wonderful volunteers to our fortnightly staff and volunteer tour of our new build
After initial teething problems with boot sizes they joined us to walk in and around the steel frame starting in reception and ending outside our two bedroom wings. Lots of questions were asked and I’m sure they found the visit informative and enjoyable, with the added bonus of a beautiful, sunny evening.
We also saw another milestone last week with the pouring of concrete on our first and second floors over two days
With some minor disruption due to weather and supply issues, I’m thrilled to say this is now completed, and we can now look forward to showing people around the newly created spaces.”
