Understanding Dementia

The day looks at the experience of people living with dementia, and by the end of the day, you’ll be able to:
• List the types, symptoms and causes of dementia
• Describe what dementia is like for people and their relatives
• Explain ways to communicate with a person who has dementia
• Assess and manage the needs and behaviour of people with dementia.
