Grab your golf bag and head to the first tee for New Horizons Appeal and Rusper Golf Club’s Charity Golf Challenge in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.

Taking place on Thursday 7 September 2017 at Rusper Golf Club, Rusper Road, Newdigate, keen golfers are invited to get together teams of four to play for Linda’s Trophy, named after Linda Catlow, who was cared for by St Catherine’s. For the last six years, Linda’s family have run golf events in her memory and raised more than £35,000 for the local hospice.

This year’s charity golf challenge starts with a Shotgun start at 9.30am and includes coffee on arrival and a buffet lunch. It is a Texas Scramble format, allowing golfers of all abilities to try their luck on the golf course. The challenge is a great chance for you to show off your golfing skills and socialise with others who enjoy golf, whilst supporting your local hospice.

Suzanne Connor, New Horizons Appeal Co-ordinator, said, “By supporting this charity golf day, you’ll be helping St Catherine’s continue to be there to provide expert end of life care and support to people living with a terminal illness when life comes full circle. There can be no better reason to tee off!”

The New Horizons Appeal is a voluntary fundraising group which has supported St Catherine’s since 1989. Over the years, New Horizons fundraisers have raised more than £2 million, with the help of local people who attend their prestigious events, which also include a lunch club, Autumn Gift Fair at Knepp Castle, and a Local Garden and Produce Fair.

If you would like to take part in the charity golf challenge, please email: newhorizons@stch.org.uk or call 01293 447367. Entries are £200 per team (for four players over 16 years old) and mixed teams are welcome.
