As a local hospice, we’re at the heart of our community and we work to help local terminally ill people do the things they love and to live as well as they can, for as long as they can. Art often plays a part in this, so we’re thrilled to launch HeART to Heart; our first ever community art trail.
HeART to Heart is a fun, free and engaging public art event that will see uniquely designed hearts spread across East Surrey and West Sussex during the summer of 2019. Families, artists, schools and businesses will be encouraged to get involved along the way, and help raise money so more people living with a terminal illness receive the care they need.
While I’m here I take part in the afternoon art class. It helps take my mind off things and is something that is completely for me. My nine year old daughter Is very arty so she’s been in the hospice and helped with art, and I enjoy showing her my weekly creations.

July – September 2019
The HeART to Heart trail will be launched to the public and the hearts will find their home on the trail. The hearts will be on public show for 10 weeks across the areas where St Catherine’s provides expert end of life care. Hearts will be visited by thousands of people from across the region.
Our Secret HeART exhibition takes place.
Artists and sponsors are invited to an exhibition and auction of all hearts and mini hearts. This is the only time all hearts will be displayed together.
The auction will raise vital funds for St Catherine’s so no-one has to face death and loss alone.
