House and Home store comes to Crawley

News and Blog

St Catherine’s Hospice is thrilled to announce the recent opening of a new House and Home store selling affordable, good quality furniture and home ware donated by local supporters. Located at Unit 17, Denvale Trade Park, Crawley, this exciting new venture is in addition to St Catherine’s 15 existing charity shops across Sussex and Surrey.

The new House and Home Store is the perfect place to browse for popular items like pine furniture, dining sets and three piece suites and to snap up something special to help your home stand out from the rest. With St Catherine’s help, it’s never been simpler to kit out your house on a budget so, why not pay a visit, shake up your home decor and support your local hospice at the same time? Your everyday purchase of a dining set, armchair or sideboard could make a real difference to terminally ill local people’s lives.

Peter Walsh, Furniture Shop and Warehouse Manager at St Catherine’s, said: “It’s really exciting to introduce our first House and Home store. We’ve already received plenty of quality furniture donations and the warehouse is full of pieces arranged in room settings so you can easily imagine how something might look in your home. We’re looking forward to continuing to receive donations of high quality furniture and home ware from people across our Sussex and Surrey catchment area and offer a free collection service to make it easy for anyone donating.”

Denvale Trade Park, on Haslett Avenue East, is easily accessible for customers being close to Crawley and Three Bridges rail stations, Crawley bus station and town centre and offering customers ample onsite parking.

Why shop at our House and Home store?

All profits from the House and Home store will help St Catherine’s to continue to provide their vital care services. With less than a third of their funding coming from the NHS, the hospice relies on the generosity and support of people in the community to help them continue to care for local people needing support.

These services are provided in people’s own homes, in their specialist Inpatient Unit in Crawley and through Day Hospice sessions in Crawley and Caterham which help patients live well through offering a variety of wellbeing activities.

Opening Times

The House and Home store is open seven days a week from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

How to donate

Anyone wishing to donate unwanted, quality furniture and household goods to St Catherine’s can make use of the free collection service by calling 01293 583077 or emailing trading@stch.org.uk.
