St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, we’re there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle.

We’re really excited to offer two leadership opportunities in our fundraising team (Head of Fundraising and Head of Philanthropy - fixed term contract, maternity cover). After delivering fantastic results during their time with us, our brilliant Head of Fundraising is leaving to join another charity as Director of Income Generation. We’re delighted for them and are now looking for their successor.

If you’re an experienced audience-focussed fundraising professional who is passionate about connecting people with our cause and being a first-class manager and leader, then we’d love to hear from you.

The Head of Fundraising works closely with our Head of Philanthropy. They are responsible for our income from high net worth individuals, trusts and businesses, including the delivery of our capital appeal to build our new hospice home.

This role together with the Head of Philanthropy role (fixed term contract - maternity cover) are part of a brilliant Income Generation Directorate, managing brilliant teams and working collaboratively alongside colleagues to deliver sustainable income at scale as we face our greatest and most exciting challenge yet – recovering from covid and building our new hospice home.

This post is offered on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week (flexibility will be considered)
