St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, we’re there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle.

“Getting to know a person, learning what’s important to them, and caring for them at the scariest, most vulnerable time of their life is an honour.” Melissa, St Catherine’s Hospice nurse.

We continually strive to deliver the best possible care to our community and following a recent restructure we have an exciting new vacancy for a Social worker. If you have compassion, courage and a desire to help people when they need it the most, then joining the team at St Catherine’s could be right for you.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop and strengthen their leadership skills, with a real opportunity to influence our work and really make a difference to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

You will need to drive a commitment to excellence and ensure high quality, safe and effective care to patients and their families. With a planned move to a new hospice facility at Pease Pottage (West Sussex) in the new future, you will work to plan, mobilise and deliver community services aligned with St Catherine’s strategic aims and supporting plans.

If you are working for a local authority or NHS social work role in our catchment area and are interested in this role, we are prepared to consider secondments of 12+ months.

Employees at St Catherine’s Hospice can enjoy a variety of benefits including:
