Manor Royal Businesses supporting St Catherine’s Hospice HeART to Heart Trail

Heart to Heart News News and Blog

Local Manor Royal businesses recently came together on a beautiful sunny morning for an unusual photo shoot at Crawter’s Brook. Staff from Deloitte, Avensys and Manor Royal BID showed their support for St Catherine’s Hospice HeART to Heart trail, stood beside one of the hospice’s giant fibreglass hearts at the location.

The local businesses, who are some of the sponsors and supporters of the trail, are delighted to be involved in HeART to Heart.

Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of Manor Royal BID, said: “We are delighted that Manor Royal has been chosen as one of the locations for the St Catherine’s HeART to Heart Trail. It’s a fantastic, fun and creative initiative encompassing all parts of our community and enriching public and other spaces while supporting a valuable good cause. I can’t wait to see the hearts in Manor Royal and how people will react to them.”

Launching in July, HeART to Heart, headline sponsored by Thakeham, will see giant fibreglass hearts, each uniquely designed by a local artist, placed across East Surrey and West Sussex where St Catherine’s provides expert end of life care. Throughout the ten weeks the beautiful hearts are out on the trail, the local community will be encouraged to join in with a range of family friendly activities, as well as a trail of wire hearts, designed by local young people, located in community venues.

A free interactive mobile app and trail map will encourage people to visit each heart to unlock its secrets. The main trail will also be followed by a secret heart exhibition and live auction later in the year. It’s hoped the trail will bring income and visitors to the local area.
