Meditation and Sleep Resources


Meditation is not only a great source of comfort to many people living with a terminal illness but can significantly help to reduce stress, anxiety and worry. This practice is offered at our Living Well Centre through guided meditations with one of our volunteers, Graham, and is very popular with many of our patients and their loved ones.

We have two short guided meditations below that you can do from the comfort of your own home. We hope they will offer some relaxation and calm to those who choose to take part.

Please note that you should not undertake this guided meditation if you’re driving or operating machinery.

We also offer regular virtual wellbeing sessions online, led by our skilled volunteers.

Sleeping Better

Our Therapy Team offer fatigue management and advice on sleep hygiene – how you can sleep better.  If you’re struggling to go to sleep and to stay asleep these resources may help you.

The video below, reproduced from the Sleep Council, includes tips on how to prepare for sleep and gives you advice on the things you should avoid as they’re known to prevent sleep.
