Celebrating One Year in Our Bigger East Grinstead Shop!
It’s been a whole year since we moved into our bigger and better East Grinstead charity shop, and what a year it’s been! From the moment we opened our doors, the support from our wonderful community has been truly amazing.
With our larger space, we’ve been able to offer an even greater selection of quality items, from fashion and homeware to books and bric-a-brac. More space has meant more treasures for shoppers to discover and, most importantly, more vital funds raised to support the care our hospice provides for local people.
Over the past year, we’ve also seen an incredible increase in Gift Aid sign-ups-more than double compared to the year before! This, along with our doubled shop income, has been crucial in helping us fund the vital care we provide to those who need it most.
A message from our Head of Retail, Gary Powis:
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating one year of trading in our larger East Grinstead shop. The move has allowed us to welcome more customers, and raise even more money to support St Catherine’s Hospice, which is more important than ever as funding challenges in the hospice sector continue. The support from the local community has been incredible, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has donated, shopped, and volunteered with us over the past year.
As we continue to grow, we’d love to welcome more volunteers to our team. Whether you can spare a few hours or a few days a week, your help will make a real difference. If you’re interested, please pop into the shop and chat with us about becoming part of our volunteer team!”
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey – our customers, our donors, and our incredible volunteers. You make it all possible! Every purchase, every donation, and every hour volunteering helps ensure we can continue providing expert care and support to people living with a life-limiting or terminal condition and their families.
Here’s to another fantastic year ahead in East Grinstead! We’d love to see you in store soon-why not pop in and celebrate with us?
