St Catherine’s has Christmas all wrapped up!

News and Blog

Does your Christmas wrapping leave a lot to be desired? Maybe you just don’t have the time or the patience to wrestle with sticky tape, paper and gift bows. Thankfully, St Catherine’s Hospice can save the day this December with a present wrapping service at County Mall. Volunteers and St Catherine’s staff will be offering their wrapping skills every day from 10am-4pm in return for a donation.

No present is too big or small for the present wrappers, and your donations will support St Catherine’s patients and their family and friends to spend what could be their last Christmas together.

Every year St Catherine’s must raise £6 million in donations to continue offering its free care across Sussex and Surrey, and it costs the local hospice more than £30,000 to provide expert care on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day alone, including through community nurses who visit people in their own homes.

With more than 90 shops to browse in County Mall, your Christmas shopping will be complete – and then beautifully wrapped – in no time at all.

Gabi Field, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at St Catherine’s, said: “Our staff and volunteers can’t wait to wrap presents for shoppers from Crawley and beyond. Christmas is an especially important time for our patients, their family and friends who receive care from St Catherine’s. We’re always there to support the community, and this is our way of bringing a little Christmas cheer to local people.”

This Christmas, save yourself the task of wrapping, and give the gift of hospice care this at the same time.
