Healthy treats on offer at St Catherine’s

News and Blog

St Catherine’s Hospice public coffee shop was thrilled to maintain its Gold Standard Eat Out, Eat Well status which recognises its healthy, homemade menus. Following an audit by Crawley Borough Council, the hospice was recognised for demonstrating healthy eating choices for its customers.

Now, the local hospice in Malthouse Road, is encouraging more people to visit and enjoy the tempting treats on offer.

Run by staff and volunteers, St Catherine’s coffee shop’s reasonably priced menu includes a mouth-watering selection of light breakfasts and lunches and can cater for all dietary needs.

Last year alone, more than 12,000 drinks were served to coffee shop customers, with all money generated from the coffee shop helping to fund end of life care for local people, when and where they need it most.

Wayne Stepney, Front of House Services Manager at St Catherine’s said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to hospice catering and coffee shop staff and volunteers for their continued dedication in making sure we always providing a healthy selection of food for our customers. I’d also like to remind our local community to pop in to see us! We guarantee a warm welcome and delicious food, and you can feel good too, knowing you’re eating homemade, healthy food, and helping terminally ill people in your local community by supporting the hospice.”

Now, there’s a guilt free reason to treat yourself to lunch or tea and cake!
