Remember someone special at St Catherine’s Hospice Memory Meadow

News and Blog

St Catherine’s Hospice is inviting the local community to join them for Memory Meadow, a free, outdoor thanksgiving and remembrance event in Reigate’s Priory Park.

Taking place on Saturday 2 June at 11am, the event is open to everyone, of all ages, in the community and will include specially chosen readings and music delivered in the meadow area.

Alongside live music there will also be interactive spaces where people can take part in activities, and after the event, refreshments, served by St Catherine’s Dorking Friends Group, will be available for a donation.

The Memory Meadow, which sits close to the lake at Priory Park, was first planted in 2017. A tranquil space, it sits as a living tribute to loved ones.

Cathy Sosoli, Lead for Patient and Family Support Services at St Catherine’s said, “At the hospice, we know many people get much needed comfort from remembering special times with a loved one. We believe that being there when life comes full circle includes acknowledging that our loved ones continue to be a part of our life’s journey. I hope lots of you will join us on 2 June to celebrate and remember the people you love and miss. And I hope that you’ll continue to visit our Memory Meadow whenever you need to reflect.”
