We’re a third of the way through our new build!

New Hospice News

Paul Rycroft, our New Build Delivery & Collaboration Director, provides the latest update on the building of our new hospice at Pease Pottage.

“As the scaffold goes up to prepare for the bricklayers and roofers we mark 26 weeks of the main build programme which is a third of the entire build (yes – already!)

Several hospice staff who have recently been to visit our new site to see how our building is progressing have said how impressive the frontage of our new hospice is.  The three barns facing onto the village green compliment the other housing and the community hub building on the Woodgate development.

We will certainly be at the very heart of this new community, inviting people to consider all that a hospice stands for.

And now that we can see the first and second floors being set out, visitors to our new site can also start to see just how the one building brings all the various functions, that are currently scattered across our four buildings at Malthouse Road, into one footprint.

This will naturally help us to be even better connected so that the people of Sussex and Surrey we care for can continue to receive the outstanding care that has marked the first forty years of St Catherine’s work.”

If you would like to support more people in your community to have the best possible care now and in years to come you can make a donation to support our new hospice online or call our Fundraising Team on 01293 447361. Thank you
