“The hospice has given me nothing but positives”

“I was referred to St Catherine’s by my GP after I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Now, I attend the Movers and Shakers exercise group. I’ve always done exercise and thanks to Movers and Shakers, I’ve felt myself getting stronger each week.

“St Catherine’s has made a real difference to my life”

And that’s not the only help I’ve had. Jackie from St Catherine’s Welfare Team managed to get me some extra money which has made a real difference to my life. I want to stay at home and the money means I can. I’ve been able to get a washer drier and a woman comes in once a month to give my house a good clean. A man’s going to come to do my garden too. They’re the sort of things that worry people. You worry about keeping your house and garden tidy but now I can.

“Coming to St Catherine’s is like getting into a nice, warm bed”

It’s safe and cosy, and you’re protected. Everybody and everything is wonderful. The staff are so compassionate and help you with anything you need. The volunteer drivers are wonderful too, I don’t look at them as drivers, I look at them as friends.

Everything about St Catherine’s has changed my life for the positive.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
