Visiting Us

**Update due to coronavirus**

We continue to provide care and support to people on our wards as usual, and if you want to visit someone you’re still very welcome to do so.

We have put some extra precautions in place to help keep you, and everyone else at the hospice, as safe as we can. We appreciate your help with these.

  • Please call in advance to let us know that you are planning to visit. This will help limit any waiting times and allow us to keep everyone safe
  • Only visitors on the patient’s approved list will be allowed
  • Visiting hours are 10am to 6pm and visits should be limited to one hour
  • All hospice visitors will now be screened. This will include having your temperature taken before entering our main hospice building
  • All visitors must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when visiting the wards. Visitors will be provided with mask, gloves and apron
  • Visitors should be limited to two people per patient and visits may be restricted during busy times
  • We ask if you’re visiting that you do not wait in public areas

Please note, our onsite coffee shop is now closed, but we will still provide food and beverages to patients and their visitors from our main hospice kitchen. Any of our team will be happy to help you with this.

Visiting Hours

We don’t have set ward visiting hours, you can visit any time that suits the person you’re visiting. However, our wards can get busy during meal times so please try to avoid the following times where possible:

  • 8.15am to 9am
  • 12.15pm to 1.15pm
  • 5.30pm to 6.30pm

We have a receptionist on duty seven days a week, between 9am and 4.15pm. After these times, we lock the main hospice doors so please just ring the doorbell.

You are welcome to spend time with patients in their rooms, in our Octagon lounge area, our coffee shop and garden and children’s playroom.
