Whether you’re looking for information on rare drugs and conditions, how to support the carers and families of a patient, or facts and figures for a report, the St Catherine’s Hospice library can help you.
Our library holds books, journals and papers on:
- End of life care, including cancer and non-malignant diseases
- Death and dying
- Grief and bereavement
- General nursing.
Our library team can also help you find palliative care information; how to critically evaluate what you find; how to present it effectively in talks and how to prepare academic work and conference abstracts.
Library location and opening hours
Opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The Turner Library
St Catherine’s Hospice
The library was named for a former patient, having been generously funded by their family.
The St Catherine’s library is open to staff, volunteers, and students on a placement at St Catherine’s. It is also a free research and study site for local doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. Alternatively, you can access our full resources through annual membership, which costs just £25. Download a membership application form here.
