Spring Raffle 2024

It has been an exciting start to the year as we settle into our new hospice and to mark this we are giving you the chance to win some great prizes.  

We are bringing back our Spring Raffle and hope you will join us in taking part. Tickets are £1 each.

Prizes:

1st: £2,024

2nd: £1000

3rd: £500

All tickets must be returned by 5pm on the 27 March – this online page will be closed on the 15 March to give us time to send out and process tickets. The draw will take place on the 3 April 2024.

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are the St Catherine’s Hospice Raffle Rules. By entering the raffle, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

  1. St Catherine’s Hospice registered charity no. 281362
  2. For the purpose of the Gambling Act 2005, this raffle is defined as a ‘Society Lottery.’
  3. Licensed by the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005, gamblingcommission.gov.uk. Account Number: 4880
  4. The St Catherine’s Hospice member of staff responsible for the promotion of the raffle is Nicky Ifould.
  5. Each entrant should retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for their reference.
  6. To enter the raffle, you must be resident in the UK and aged 16 or over and not purchased a raffle ticket on behalf of someone who is under the age of 16.
  7. There will be 3 cash prizes:
  • 1 x prize of £2024
  • 1 x prize of £1000
  • 1 x prize of £500
  1. All tickets shall be priced at £1.
  2. All raffle entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £1 per ticket to enter the raffle does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
  3. The raffle is not open to employees of St Catherine’s Hospice who are directly involved with the raffle, their agencies and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle.
  4. CAF or other charity vouchers cannot be accepted as payment for raffle tickets.
  5. Full payment for each ticket must be received either in the form of cash or cleared funds before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Once a payment has been processed, St Catherine’s Hospice will not give a refund.
  6. Entries into the draw close on 27th March at 5pm and any payments received after this date shall be treated as donations.
  7. A random selection of paper tickets is used to select raffle prize winners. The draw for the prizes will be pulled at our premises on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 before 5pm. You do not need to be present at the draw to win the raffle.
  8. We reserve the right to defer the draw if any legal restrictions and resultant delays in processing prevent the draw from taking place on this date, and will make the draw the next working day possible.
  9. The winners of the raffle prizes will be notified by telephone call or if this is not possible by writing.
  10. A list of winning ticket numbers will appear on our website and are available by phoning us on 01293 447361.
  11. When the cash prize is awarded, this will be made by bank transfer to the name of the entrant only.
  12. St Catherine’s Hospice accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  13. All entrants are solely responsible for providing St Catherine’s Hospice with their accurate and up-to-date contact details. St Catherine’s Hospice will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided. In the event that an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for advising St Catherine’s Hospice of the change.
  14. St Catherine’s Hospice reserves the right to use the name of the winner, in any publicity unless prior notification has been received.
  15. St Catherine’s Hospice shall not be liable to the player for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:-
  • any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by St Catherine’s Hospice or the member from time to time.
  • any delays or failures in the Banking system used by St Catherine’s Hospice or the player.
  • any failure to enter a chance into the draw.
  • any event beyond the reasonable control of St Catherine’s Hospice.
  1. Nothing within these terms and conditions shall create or should be construed as creating any form of contract between any entrant and St Catherine’s Hospice.
  2. Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing to St Catherine’s Hospice giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation. A full copy of our comments and complaints policy is available on request. The Complainant may refer the matter to the Independent Betting Adjudication service (IBAS). IBAS acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between gambling operators who are registered with IBAS and their customers). Complainants may register their complaint with them but only after St Catherine’s Hospice Complaints-Policy-POL-024-V7-Mar-2023.pdf (stch.org.uk) has been completed.
  3. St Catherine’s Hospice is committed to protecting our supporter’s privacy.   4. St Catherine’s Hospice will not sell, rent or grant access of any personal data to any third party without express prior permission.
  5. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, the decision of St Catherine’s Hospice shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  6. St Catherine’s Hospice reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If St Catherine’s Hospice does this, it will publish the amended rules.
  7. St Catherine’s Hospice reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules.
