It’s great that you’re thinking of fundraising for St Catherine’s Hospice!
Coronavirus has been difficult for us all. Many of you have had to change your fundraising plans or have missed out on our events. There are lots of different ways that you can support our hospice. Search our ideas below, find something that’s good for you, or take on your own fundraising challenge.
The fundraising team at St Catherine’s would love to hear about your fundraising activity and we’ll do everything we can to help you reach your goal, do please tell us about your fundraising so we can support you.
Tell us about your fundraising
We really need your support. The pandemic has hit our fundraising hard and we’re predicting a drop of around £1.5 million in income this year. We can only provide care for local people and their families because of wonderful supporters like you who raise money in so many amazing ways. Take a look at some of our ‘Do Your Own Fundraising ideas’ below:
Wear Orange for a Day
Get sponsored to wear orange for the day instead of your usual uniform or work attire.
Gaming for Good
Take on a marathon gaming session and ask your friends, family or followers to sponsor you.
Host Your Own Marathon
Take on a marathon challenge, whether that’s a 26.2 hour DJ set or a 26.2 mile run, walk, swim or cycle.
Design your own poster
with our easy to use tool
Results take minutes, can be printed or downloaded in a format that suits you, and allows you to easily create a poster or leaflet for your very own St. Catherine’s fundraiser!

Sharing your fundraising with the media
Local newspapers love hearing about your fundraising and how you’re helping others in your community. Remember you’re a hospice hero, so don’t be shy about sharing your amazing efforts! Download our handy press release template and send it to local newspapers and magazines. You can find their contact details by searching online.

Paying in your fundraising…
Once your fundraising event is over, you’ll be ready to pay in the money you’ve raised to St Catherine’s Hospice. You can pay online, send in a cheque or hand deliver your hard earned funds directly to our hospice.
