Get baking to support your local hospice
The pandemic has meant many of our fundraising events and activities can’t go ahead, so we’re facing a severe shortfall in our funding. Help us by putting on that apron, get some Bake Off inspiration and get some cupcakes in the oven!
Are you a star baker, or just love eating cake? Hosting a bake sale or afternoon tea fundraiser is a great way to fundraise for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, we know that your bake sales are going to look a little different but they can still be done. You can still sell your delicious treats for donations and you’ll be making a huge difference to St Catherine’s!
There’s plenty of different ways you can bake to fundraise and make some dough for us!*
*To curb the spread of coronavirus, government regulations may exist on a local or national level; please consider if restrictions are in place in your area when making your plans.
Results take minutes, can be printed or downloaded in a format that suits you, and allows you to easily create a poster or leaflet for your very own St. Catherine’s fundraiser!

After holding yearly afternoon teas, raffles and other ingenious fundraisers since 2013, Kim Warner wasn’t going to let Coronavirus get in the way of raising money for the hospice. Being vigilant about hygiene and social distancing, Kim was able to hold a successful cake sale for us:
“We were very upset that we couldn’t hold our annual afternoon tea. Last year, we raised over £5,000, but this year I thought why don’t I hold a tabletop sale of cakes on my driveway to hopefully make some money for St Catherine’s even during COVID-19.
As I made cakes, I wore gloves, a mask, hair net and apron. I wrapped and labelled every cake and all in all, I made around 170 cakes to sell. We put signs up reminding people to stay two metres apart, and despite the restrictions, we had a steady stream of people all day long.
The total amount raised was £1,468.09 which was a fabulous amount of money. St Catherine’s is close to my heart and I’ll always try to raise funds for them – coronavirus or not!”
