For nearly 40 years, we’ve provided end of life care and bereavement services throughout West Sussex and East Surrey. Now is an exciting time to join us as we prepare to move to a new, larger hospice in Pease Pottage that will allow us to care for more people.

When you join St Catherine’s, you’ll be joining a supportive team all working towards the same ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Whether you’re caring for people on our wards or in the community, working in one of our support services teams or in our shops you’ll be making a huge difference to people like Margaret when it matters most.

Staff testimonials

But what’s it really like working at St Catherine’s?

Lauren - Counsellor

“It’s lovely to support people as they find a way through their grief and loss to find moments of purpose and joy in the world again. Having colleagues with so much experience and knowledge also makes my job richer.”

Wayne - Head of Facilities

“We’re a team who do our best to help with whatever a person needs – that’s really important to us. One man we were caring for wanted to surprise his wife with a candlelit dinner under the stars, so we set up dinner for them to enjoy outside in our garden.”

Dawn - Redhill Shop Manager

“This has been the best job I’ve ever had - I wish I’d found it earlier. Everything we all do is going towards those we care for. If we can make people smile in their last days, then that’s just lovely.”

Shelley - Ward Matron

“We pride ourselves on giving individualised care. Our care is often about the little things but it’s those things that people remember. We’ve enabled people to have weddings and birthday parties here. If I and my team can create special memories for people and their relatives, it’s a privilege to do that.”
