Welfare Advice

When living with a life-limiting or terminal condition money worries and managing care-related paperwork can feel overwhelming.

Our Welfare Advisor can give advice and support to you and your family at any stage of your care, and is also able to help with practical support following death.

If you have a life-limiting illness, or you are a carer, there are a number of benefits you could claim. These will vary depending on your age and circumstances. Our Welfare Advisor can help you identify, and apply for, the benefits you might be entitled to. We can also offer advice on:

  • Disabled parking badges
  • Applying for benefits and grants
  • Making and amending wills
  • Appointing a lasting power of attorney
  • The rising cost of living

All of our support is free to anyone in West Sussex and East Surrey that has been referred to us.

If you would like to see or speak to our Welfare Advisor, or find out more about how we can help you, please ask any of the St Catherine’s Hospice team or call 01293 447333.
