  • Accessories
  • Jewellery
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Books
  • Children’s toys which have a CE label
  • Games and jigsaws
  • Good quality furniture
  • Working white goods
  • Curtains

Our storage capacity is constantly changing, so please call in advance to check we can accept your items before visiting us.

Furniture Collection Service

We also offer a furniture collection service and house clearance services across West Sussex and East Surrey. To find out more about this, please call our Retail team on 01293 583077.

Your rag – it’s big business!

We are also able to accept bags of clearly-labelled rag materials. These are items that are old and unwanted that we can give to third parties to recycle, earning us additional income. For every 1kg worth of rag we can make £5.50, which is all money that goes towards caring for our patients.

If you have:

  • Old clothing (including underwear)
  • Footwear
  • Bags
  • Books that are not good enough quality to re-sell

We can still make good use of them! All you need to do is sort the items into separate bags for clothes, shoes, bags and old books, clearly label them ‘rag’ and then drop them off at your local shop.

Give more with Gift Aid!

With any donation that you bring into the shop, don’t forget to claim Gift Aid!

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways to give more – at no extra cost to you. When donate to our charity shops, we can claim back the tax paid for the item. This is called Gift Aid and amounts to an extra 25p for every £1 your donation generates.

How do I sign up to Gift Aid?

You can sign up to Gift Aid if you’re a UK taxpayer. All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid Declaration form – available now in all of our shops. This form is a statement from you to us, confirming that you would like to donate through Gift Aid and receive tax back on your donation to St Catherine’s.

DROPPING OFF DONATIONS

You can drop off your good quality donations and bags of rag at any of our St Catherine’s shops. Take a look at our shop locations and their opening times to find one that suits you.

We kindly ask that you do not leave donations outside our shops when they are is closed. Unfortunately donations left outside either get stolen or get damaged which means we are unable to sell them. We then have to pay for the donations to be taken away.

Don’t forget, our Furniture Store in Crawley is open on a Sunday for donation drop offs.
