Volunteer Kitchen Assistant

Our Hospitality Team  are currently looking for Volunteer Kitchen Assistants to help keep our busy kitchen in tip top condition. As a Volunteer Kitchen Assistant you will be based in our hospice kitchen, joining our friendly team and helping with tasks such as washing up, sorting and tidying the kitchen area as well as preparing hospitality trolleys needed for patients and those visiting our ward areas.

The role is available for volunteers aged 16 years or over with a good level of fitness and mobility. Moving equipment, operating the dishwasher and extended time on your feet are all core parts of this role.

Times

Shifts of 3 hours are available throughout the week and we have a number of days and times to fill, so if you are interested we would love to hear from you. We are currently particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are available to volunteer for the following shifts:

• Mondays - 12:00-15:00, 16:00-19:00
• Tuesdays - 12:00-15:00
• Wednesdays 09:00-12:00  (or 12:00-15:00 alternate weeks)
• Saturdays - 12:00-15:00
• Sundays - 16:00-1900 (or 12:00-15:00 alternate weeks)

Training:

We provide a new starter induction process, training opportunities and regular support for all volunteers.
