*We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donates to our charity shops. We rely on your generous donations to keep our stores fully stocked with high quality pre-loved goods so we can continue to raise much needed funds for our hospice. Any stock that cannot be sold is collected from a third-party textile merchant to be recycled. This used to be a source of income for us, with us receiving £0.55 per kilogram of RAG. However, in recent years the value of the recycling market has decreased considerably – so much so, that we may soon have to pay for our RAG to be taken away. Therefore, we are no longer accepting donations of textile RAG to our stores. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any questions, you can speak to our retail team on 01293 583077 or email retail@stch.org.uk.
DROPPING OFF DONATIONS
You can drop off your good quality donations and bags of rag at any of our St Catherine’s shops. Take a look at our shop locations and their opening times to find one that suits you.
We kindly ask that you do not leave donations outside our shops when they are is closed. Unfortunately donations left outside either get stolen or get damaged which means we are unable to sell them. We then have to pay for the donations to be taken away.
To guarantee that we can accept your donations to our Crawley superstore – especially big items or if you have more than two bags/boxes – please book a slot in advance to drop off at 76 The Boulevard, Crawley, RH10 1XH. Find out more here.
