Our specialist care reaches thousands of local people every year – in our hospice, in people’s homes and across the community. To provide this vital care, we need to raise over £7.5 million every year. We can’t do it alone.

Becoming a Philanthropist
We are grateful for all gifts received at St Catherine’s. Becoming a philanthropist with us means giving an annual gift of £5000 or more.
Our Partnerships team will collaborate closely with you, to understand what matters most and help achieve your philanthropic goals.
You will receive:
- Invitations to exclusive events and audiences with our Chair of Trustees, Senior Management team, and Clinical teams.
- Dedicated support from our Partnerships team with regular updates on the impact of your support.

- Opportunity for transformational gifts of £50,000 or more to be recognised publicly.
Ways to Give
Cash Donations
You can donate via cheque, cash, or BACS. If eligible, we will claim Gift Aid from HMRC, adding 25p for every £1 you donate. Higher-rate taxpayers can claim back the difference between tax paid on the gift and the Gift Aid claim.
Donor Advised Fund
We would be delighted to work with the provider of your Donor Advised Fund to help meet your charitable aims and secure vital support for St Catherine’s.
Individual Trust
Giving through a private trust or family foundation is a wonderful option to support our care, and we’d be happy to provide all the information you need to make a charitable grant.
Giving Shares
We can help transfer ownership of your shares to St Catherine’s Hospice. You may be able to claim income tax relief, and may be exempt from Capital Gains Tax on any increase in share value.

Yes, there are several tax benefits to philanthropy.
Donations from individuals to charity are tax free. This is called tax relief, and the tax either comes to St Catherine’s Hospice or to yourself, depending on how you choose to give.
