Get Christmas all wrapped up with St Catherine’s Hospice

News and Blog

Do you struggle with sticky tape, curling ribbon and folding wrapping paper? You’re not alone! But thankfully your local hospice, St Catherine’s, can save you some stress this December!

Staff and volunteers from the local hospice will be stationed at County Mall every day from Saturday 16 December to Sunday 24 December and the Belfry Centre in Redhill on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December to offer their wrapping skills in exchange for a donation to the hospice.

The St Catherine’s team will be offering their gift wrapping service from 10am weekdays and Saturdays and 12 noon Sundays at County Mall. During the week before Christmas, they will be wrapping into the evening until 7.30pm so no matter what time you shop, they’ll be on hand to help.

No present is too big or small for St Catherine’s wrappers and your donations will help the hospice make the festive season as comfortable as possible for local terminally ill people and their family and friends. By getting your Christmas gifts wrapped by St Catherine’s, you can relax, buy your gifts and get everything wrapped up and ready to go in one shopping trip, whilst knowing that you’re helping St Catherine’s make what may be some people’s last Christmas together as memorable and special as it can be.

Tom Abbott, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at St Catherine’s, said “Our staff and volunteers can’t wait to get wrapping! Christmas is an especially poignant time for the people we care for and their family and friends, so we work hard to make sure it’s as happy as possible. We’re always there to support people in our local community and this is our way of creating one less job for you and spreading some Christmas cheer, whilst raising vital funds to continue to provide our expert end of life care when life comes full circle.”

So when you’re shopping, make sure you swing by St Catherine’s gift wrapping station, outside Primark on the ground floor, to help give the gift of hospice care and get your own Christmas all wrapped up!
