St Catherine’s Billingshurst shop is MAGIC!

News and Blog

It was a magic outcome for staff and volunteers at St Catherine’s Hospice Billinghsurst shop as they won a local window dressing competition.

As part of an annual event which brings together local businesses in the Billingshurst village for a fun family event, the shop was asked to create a window display to fit the theme ‘magic.’

Staff and volunteers put their heads together to create a truly magical window display, prior to the local event’s judging, which took place during the week commencing 20 June.

It’s with great delight that we can announce that St Catherine’s Billingshurst Shop scooped first place! For the last few years, the shop’s displays have placed, but this is the first year the shop has won the top prize and received a trophy and certificate.

Lisa Mills, Assistant Shop Manager said: “I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved here, and none of it would have been possible without our valuable volunteers. I’d like to say a special thank you to Ann Burge, who has been a volunteer in our shops for 10 years now, for her creativity and I would also like to thank Luke Holohan, who volunteers here with us after school, and devoted his time to help us create our magic window.”
